The week, organised by the Bendigo Winegrowers Association, ran from October 6 to 15 with 10 different wine and food events and nearly 80 wines on show.
Bendigo Winegrowers Association President Wes Vine said there was a lot of buzz about the week before it even began.
“We knew we could be in for a big week, but the patrons, the atmosphere, the engagement during the whole week was simply amazing,” he said.
“We had lovers of great Bendigo wine who regularly attend our events, and many new patrons who are expanding their knowledge and taste of Bendigo wine.”
Mr Vine said the week attracted people from Melbourne, other regional areas and even interstate.
“It boosted Bendigo’s local economy as most of the people travelling to our events chose to stay in local accommodation, and visit local restaurants and retail outlets,” he said.
“It was a great week to showcase Bendigo wine, and the great city of Bendigo so we’ll definitely be bringing it back next year.”
