Be.Bendigo chief executive officer Leah Sertori has today announced she will resign from the role to take up the top job at a regional leadership organisation.
In an email to Be.Bendigo members, Ms Sertori said she was privileged to serve as Be.Bendigo CEO, listing an improved business model, strong financial position and new member services as legacies of her time in the role.
The organisation last year turned over $500,000 more than when Ms Sertori joined in 2015.
Also among her proudest achievements was a bid to become a test site for the federal government’s smart cities initiative.
Ms Sertori will now join Community Leadership Loddon Murray as its new executive officer.
Now in it’s 20th year, CLLM aims to develop a strong leaders in its region.
“If ever there was a time our world needs strong leaders with high integrity and a solid understanding of the communities they serve it’s now,” Ms Sertori said, adding that there was an “international deficit in leadership capability”.
CLLM chairwoman Anita Dickons said her organisation was delighted to welcome the Be.Bendigo head as it sought to develop new services for its region’s emerging leaders.
“Leah’s skills and experience will help us achieve our goals,” she said.
Ms Sertori will leave Be.Bendigo on October 19.
She has previously served as CEO for Sustainable Regional Australia and Melbourne Cares.
