And the Mean Machine did it on Saturday by defeating the previously unbeaten Calivil United by 19 points in the grand final at Serpentine.
Bridgewater kicked the first three goals of the game en route to its 8.11 (59) to 5.10 (40) victory.
The Mean Machine held a 17-point advantage at the final change, before the Demons closed the gap to 10 points during the last term.
However, Tyler Estrada sealed the win a long-range goal – his second – as the Mean Machine became the first club since the introduction of the reserves in 1970 to win three flags in a row.
Andrew Duguid has coached all three flags.
Bridgewater’s Josh McLeod won the AFL Victoria Country Medal for best on ground, while team-mate Adam Williams was influential with four goals.
Jack Maher was best for Calivil United.
