Deanne Lynch, a worker locked out of the company’s Bridge Street site since the strike started, said the current action would continue until further notice.
“We just want to make it clear that we’re not going to back down,” she said.
“The more [the company] locks more staff out, the more we’re going to band together and fight for what we deserve, which is just a fair go. It shouldn’t have gone on this long, we’re not asking for anything that outlandish, we’re just asking to be brought up to the standard level of pay that other pathology workers earn.”
Dorevitch Pathology did not respond to a request for comment on Friday, but has previously said it did not expect services to disrupted by the industrial action.
