From Friday July 21 to Sunday July 23, all animals were available for adoption at a reduced price.
The Bendigo RSPCA centre adopted out 25 cats, 17 dogs and two guinea pigs.
Across the state, hundreds of animals found new homes.
"We are delighted that RSPCA Victoria was able to rehome 479 animals during our three-day adoption drive,” RSPCA Victoria chief executive officer Dr Liz Walker said.
"This is an outstanding result, making a big difference in our endeavours to find permanent loving homes for all the animals in our care.
"RSPCA Victoria will continue to see many more animals requiring care, rehabilitation and rehoming.
“However, it's comforting to know that so many Victorians share our passion to give these animals a second chance."
