The Bulldogs thrashed bottom side Inglewood 101-19 and in doing so took another step towards securing the double chance for the finals.
Pyramid Hill’s big win combined with Bridgewater’s 10-goal loss to Newbridge, saw the Bulldogs move into third spot on percentage.
With Bridgewater having the bye next round, Pyramid Hill only needs to defeat Maiden Gully YCW to cement third spot for the finals.
While Pyramid Hill’s shooters had a day out, the Newbridge versus Bridgewater clash was a defensive scrap. Newbridge’s defence did an outstanding job to restrict Bridgewater to its lowest score of the season in the 36-26 victory.
In other games, Maiden Gully YCW put a severe dent in Bears-Lagoon Serpentine’s finals hopes when it won 41-36, while fifth-placed Calivil United was too strong for Marong 67-34.
