Geary will captain Vic Country for the second consecutive year, while Thornton will make his state representative debut.
Former BFNL players Steven Stroobants (Rochester) and Chris Ryan (Tatura) were also picked in the 22-man Vic Country team.
Ovens and Murray Football League and Geelong Football Netball League lead the way with the most selections with six, followed by Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League and Goulburn Valley Football League with three.
Vic Country and the VAFA play for the Brian Molony Cup. The game starts at 2.15pm on Saturday at Frankston.
