Colbinabbin's 12 goal win over 2016 grand final rival White Hills has left the reigning premiers as the HDFNL netball league's only undefeated A-grade team.
The Grasshoppers set up their 49-37 win with a dominant second quarter, outscoring the Demons 14-5.
It included a run of seven unanswered goals in the latter stages of the quarter.
White Hills got as close as eight goals late in the third term, but with goal keeper Kate Chirnside and goal defence Brydie Lawford rebounding superbly throughout the contest, Colbinabbin proved too strong.
The Grasshoppers' frontcourt combination of Liz and Annie Cobbledick also posed plenty of concerns for the Demons.
Both sisters had stints on the sidelines, allowing the Grasshoppers to get some valuable court-time in to Lou Dupuy, who is returning from injury.
Coach Liz Cobbledick praised her side's ability to win a high-standard contest against a tough opponent.
"I think everyone played well and did everything that I asked of them," she said.
"Kate and Brydie both played very well, I said to them at the start of the game I really wanted them to focus on getting rebounds.
"They got seven in the second quarter and that was really where we broke away and were able to get an 11 goal lead.
"That was definitely where we won the match."
Cobbledick felt her side produced some of their best netball of the season in the second quarter.
"Things just clicked into place and went our way," she said.
"I think everyone played their part all over the court.
"Annie was shooting well in goals and it was great to work Lou back into the game and she was really strong."
White Hills was best served by goal keeper Anna-Grace Close, while Lauren Bowles had an entertaining duel with Emma Eggleston in the first half and Sophie Robertson in the second.
At Huntly, the Hawks and Mount Pleasant played out one of the games of the season, which ended in a three goal win to the home side.
The Hawks jumped to fourth spot on the ladder with a thrilling win in a game victorious coach Emily Eliades said had a "finals-like atmosphere".
"We knew it was a going to be tough and we knew it was going to be tight," she said.
"We had a couple of players missing and I wasn't sure what was going to happen, but the girls sure dug in deep."
Jenna Baker stepped up from A-reserve for the Hawks to produce her best game of the season.
Elmore is on the board, with the Blood scoring their first win since round 11 of the 2015 season against Heathcote.
The Bloods triumphed 34-30 at Heathcote's Barrack Reserve, lifting them from the bottom of the ladder.
In the remaining game, Leitchville-Gunbower retained third position with a 45-28 win against North Bendigo.
