The “Coaching Female Football Seminar” at La Trobe University was run by AFL Central Victoria.
The seminar, attended by 43 women’s football coaches, featured presentations from Harmit Singh on how to structure a female football program and skill development activities to focus on, and Cate Boyd on how women footballers can best prepare their bodies.
“It’s exciting times for female football as there are 250 new female teams this season across Victoria,” AFLCV football development manager Shane Koop said.
“We are committed to supporting the many volunteer coaches who are underpinning the growth of female football.
“The fact that 43 local coaches attended the seminar indicates how dedicated female football coaches are in the AFL Central Victoria region.”
