THE Falcons Baseball Club and Marong Netball Club have been given a funding boost.

Bendigo West MP Maree Edwards announced on Wednesday the two clubs had been successful in the second round of the State Government’s Sporting Club Grants program.

Falcons have received $980 and Marong $1000, with the grants for new uniforms and equipment.

The Sporting Club Grants program aims to make sport more accessible and inclusive, increase participation, stimulate economies and build sustainable sport and recreation volunteer opportunities.

“Here in Bendigo we are proud of our grassroots sports clubs and their efforts to make their sports more accessible and inclusive,” Edwards said.

The next round of the Sporting Club Grants program opens on June 19.
