In the rematch of last season’s Victorian Women’s Football League premier division grand final, the Thunder thumped Deer Park 16.10 (106) to 0.0 (0), with Kodi Jacques named best.
Unlike their last meeting won by Deer Park by 13 points, this time the game was played in the Northern Football League Women’s league, in which the Thunder now has a 3-0 record.
“It was a great performance by the girls and it was a good opportunity to move the team around a bit and try some players in new positions, which was pleasing,” Thunder coach Cherie O’Neill said.
