Bendigo Sustainability Group secretary Colin Lambie said electric vehicles will soon become a regular feature on our roads.
“For people commuting back and forth to work or around town they can do that on a battery (or electric car),” he said.
“Organisations are looking at getting (charging stations), the hospital has a couple. So it is coming and I think it will come with a bit of a flood.”
On Wednesday, the public are invited to view the display in Hargreaves Mall from 10.30am to 1pm.
Vehicles on display include the Tesla S, the BMW i3, the BMW i8 and the Mitsubishi PHEV Outlander.
Electronic vehicle experts will also host a series of talks at The Capital from 11am to noon on May 10.
“Some (cars on display) are coming from owners, some are coming from dealers. We will have BMWs, Teslas and Mistubishi on display,” Mr Lambie said.
