Bendigo City sits on the bottom of the west conference ladder with no wins, one draw and 10 losses from 11 games, while Dandenong City is in second place on the east table with six wins, two draws and three defeats.
The young Bendigo City squad has struggled to string together 90 minutes of good soccer this season.
They defended stoutly for a half against Murray United last weekend, but the flood gates opened in the second half and they conceded six goals.
If Bendigo can stretch 45 minutes of solid defence to 90 minutes, then it will be some chance of pinching a point off the highly-rated Dandenong side.
Meanwhile, Bendigo City’s juniors head to Ballarat on Saturday to play Ballarat City FC. The trip represents a wonderful chance for Bendigo’s juniors to score multiple victories against their country rival.
