Epsom lost 4-3 to a 10-man Shepparton South, while Eaglehawk conceded two goals in the final five minutes to lose 4-3 to Shepparton United.
The results mean Shepparton clubs fill three of the top four places on the ladder after three rounds.
Shepparton United sits on top with seven points, one point clear of Tatura and two points ahead of Epsom and Shepparton South.
Epsom’s defeat was the biggest shock of the round.
The Scorpions led 3-2 at half-time thanks to goals from Cooper Arkinstall, Lachlan Arkinstall and Adam Dwyer. They looked a safe bet to win when Shepparton South had Nathan Radevski sent off in the 62nd minute.
However, despite having the numerical advantage, the Scorpions floundered in the final 25 minutes.
Shepparton South star Jesse Brun completed his hat-trick in the 66th minute to level the scores at 3-3 before Toby Ferguson found the back of the net in the 86th minute to pinch the three points for the visitors.
It was a similar story for Eaglehawk after the Borough let three points slip against Shepparton United.
Goals to Jan Kerr and Chris Hopley gave the Hawks a 2-1 lead midway through the second half before Ruben Goldwater leveled the scores for United in the 75th minute.
Eaglehawk skipper Greg Thomas put his side in front in the 77nd minute with his fourth goal of the season.
The Hawks appeared home until Kadhim Alhilfi scored in the 85th minute and Ermal Marku added the match-winner in the 89th minute.
Tatura moved into second place on the ladder after scoring a 3-0 win over Spring Gully United.
For Tatura, Tariq Nikoi-Kotey scored a brace and Tristan Zito added the third goal.
Two second-half goals from Godwill Basha lifted Golden City to its first win of the season.
Rams’ skipper Zac Gilmour opened the scoring in the fourth minute before Colts United levelled the scores in the 26th minute through Sam McCloud.
Basha would prove to be the match-winner as he fired home goals in the 59th and 71st minutes.
The victory lifted the Rams into sixth place on the ladder, while Colts are winless after their first two games of the season.
In the final game of the round, Strathdale handed Moama-Echuca Border Raiders a 13-1 drubbing.
Strathdale’s Daniel Mairhofler had a hat-trick on the board inside the first 10 minutes and went on to score five goals for the match.
Dean Vlaeminck scored a hat-trick, Stephen Barrett and Kane Goldsworthy added two goals each and Luke Roberts scored one goal.
Moama’s lone goal scorer was Quinn Kane.
