The staff at Café 245 Heathcote and Café 245 Ravenswood are aiming to donate a further $5000 to the Royal Children’s Hospital this year.
The sister cafes will donate the profits of tomorrow’s trade to the cause.
Akashdeep S Sohal, the manager of the Ravenswood cafe, said Good Friday was one of the busiest days of the year at both sites.
Hence, he said it was an opportunity for the businesses to give back.
Both cafes will be open from 5.30am on April 14 to midnight.
Café 245 started supporting the Good Friday Appeal in 2013.
More than 45,000 children were admitted to The Royal Children’s Hospital last year.
More than 90,000 children were treated in the hospital’s emergency department.
That’s in addition to the 255,000 children treated at the hospital’s specialist clinics, the Royal Children’s Hospital said.
