After a bye in round one the Hawks will meet Golden City at Shadforth Park.
The Hawks will again be led this season by senior coach Greg Thomas, who provides the club with a wealth of knowledge, experience and ability.
Thomas will be assisted by Keegan Smyth, whose career was cut short by three knee reconstructions.
Scott Christmas is coaching the division two side and Brent Hamblin will take charge of the women’s team, with new recruits to the club including Jan Kerr and Ben Ingerson, who have both previously been part of youth football development programs in the United Kingdom.
While it will be the first look at the Hawks for 2017, Golden City goes into the game on the back of a 4-4 draw with Spring Gully United last week.
The match of the round shapes as the clash between Tatura and Epsom, with both teams coming off big wins in round one by a combined 10 goals.
Round 2 men’s games on Sunday:
Shepparton South (3 pts) v Shepparton (0) – McEwen Reserve, 1pm;
Golden City (1) v FC Eaglehawk (0) – Shadforth Park, 2pm.
Tatura (3) v Epsom (3) – Howley Oval, 2pm.
Strathdale (1) v Shepparton United (3) – Beischer Oval, 3pm.
Spring Gully United (0) v Moama-Echuca Border Raiders (0) – Stanley Avenue, 3pm.
Colts United bye.
• In the women’s division Strathdale and Shepparton United will both hit round two on the back of dominant starts to the season.
The two sides sit second and third on the ladder after thumping round one wins, which should set up an entertaining contest at Beischer Oval.

Meanwhile, Bendigo City FC has an assignment to look forward to against Melbourne Victory in round nine of their NPL division two season on Saturday at Epping Stadium from 3pm.
The young Bendigo City squad is still striving for its first win of the season, while the Victory has two wins on the board.
