MITIAMO coach Jenny Clohesy says her players won't hear any mention of last year's grand final loss ahead of their clash against reigning LVFNL premiers Newbridge this Saturday.
"We've well and truly moved on," said Clohesy, who said her players would need to find motivation elsewhere as they come up against a confident Maroons.
The Superoos have been dealt an early season blow, losing youngster Ella Hocking with a back injury. They are also without Bree Maddern from last season's team.
Clohesy was impressed with last week's 29 point win over Calivil United, bolstered by standout efforts from wing attack Abbey Hay and wing defence Gabrielle Marlow.
The second-year coach said she was looking forward to Saturday's contest, but insisted there will be no mention of last September.
"I was glad that the (girls) hurt, but you get up and get going again," she said.
"If it doesn't hurt, you weren't right into it, and I know it hit a lot of the girls hard.
"But I think that has made them even stronger."
It will be testing conditions at Mitiamo with the temperature expected to peak at 29 degrees.
Newbridge coach Kristy Shay earlier this week said she expected to be pushed all the way by the Superoos.
The Maroons expect to regain Amy Jackson, who missed last weekend's five goal win over Pyramid Hill.
In other games, impressive first-round victor Bridgewater comes up against a Pyramid Hil outfit which came close to toppling Newbridge last week, Marong makes its season debut against Bears Lagoon-Serpentime, and Inglewood hosts Calivil United, with both teams looking to rebound from losses.
