Visitors to the House of Mirrors in Rosalind Park can expect to find themselves as fascinated with their own reactions as the work itself, its creators say.

Artists Christian Wagstaff and Keith Courtney say they too will be stopping by the work after it opens to the public on Friday to revel in people’s responses.
“This whole blend of joy and fear’s quite an amazing thing to watch on people’s faces, like in an amusement park, so it’s really fun to watch people’s different reactions to it,” Mr Wagstaff said.
“People use different muscles in their faces that you don’t normally expect.”
Mr Courtney said Bendigo was the first regional city the pair had taken the installation to after it was commissioned for Tasmania’s Museum of Old and New Art, and its best backdrop so far.
“We thought we’d maybe go to one other location after Hobart and this is our fifth city and the most spectacular location,” he said.
“It really is beautiful here, of all the locations we’ve been in it just looks knockout here in Bendigo.”
Mr Courtney said almost 100,000 people had been through the maze so far.
“That’s one of the most exciting things, to see people having so much fun with it,” he said.
The House of Mirrors is open daily between 2pm and 9pm until April 30 and between 10am and 10pm on Easter Saturday and Sunday.
