Popular club figure Melissa Popple will play her 250th game for the Eagles, when she lines up against Loddon Valley Football Netball League rival Inglewood on Saturday.
The YCW stalwart - affectionately known as 'Pop' - has been involved at the Eagles since 2002.
Her 15-year career as a junior and then C-grade and C-reserve player has included numerous grand final appearances.
In 2007, she was captain of the club's first 17-and-under premiership.
She is a two-time junior club best and fairest and has also won the accolade in C-reserve.
Popple has spent most of her career in the goal shooting position and has earned a reputation for accuracy and being encouraging of teammates.
That has not stopped her filling roles at the defensive end of the court when needed.
Current Eagles coach Christie Griffiths said Melissa was the type of loyal and hard-working club person whose efforts clubs thrived on.
"She has been at YCW forever, is a great club person and puts her hand up for anything that needs doing," she said
"She's a very talented goaler, who is always wanting to listen and learn, and she always puts in 110 per cent on the court.
"Around the club she'll do anything. She's been a manager, she's been our match day secretary.
"I coached Melissa for a few years when I helped Alison Clarke in C-reserve and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with her.
"She was always asking questions and looking to learn and improve all the time."
Popple's 250th game will come in a new navy, orange and white uniform, and under the umbrella of Maiden Gully YCW following an off-season name and venue change.
The Eagles will say thank you to Popple with an afternoon tea on Saturday at Inglewood. Her C-reserve match starts at 11.30am.
