Harry Fitzgerald was part of Bombers' 6-4 win over Preston Pirates in the Diamondbacks Little League Major competition on Sunday, while Cash Curwood featured in the club's 14-6 Diamondbacks Junior League Major triumph, also over Preston.
The grand final success was the culmination of more than three months of travel to Melbourne to compete in the top-level under-age competition.
Fitzgerald's efforts at catcher for Essendon has won him a spot in an All-Star team, which has started training in Melbourne, alongside few of his Bombers teammates.
There is little doubting where the 12-year-old gets his baseball ability from.
His father is Brian Fitzgerald, a long-time Bendigo baseballer and coach with Falcons Baseball Club.
A two-time Bendigo league winter season most valuable player award winner, Fitzgerald has been a regular representative at state championships throughout his young career.
He was not the only Bendigo baseballer involved in in the little league grand final, with another talented youngster Campbell Every taking to the field for Preston.
The 11-year-old has only been playing since last April but has already represented Bendigo at under-12 and 14-level and has won a spot in the Little League All Star team to play at Knox on April 3-5.
Meanwhile, Bendigo's Darcy Harrison, Billy Parsons, Duncan Lever and Charlie Hay will get their grand final chance this Sunday in the Juniors Under 18 Metro division.
The quartet will line-up for Malvern/Port Mariners against Sandringham.
The Mariners advanced to the premiership decider with an 11-3 win over Melbourne.
