Police are urging residents lock their front doors after a violent home invasion in California Gully left two men hospitalised.
A pack of six men entered the Laurie Street address shortly after 10pm on Friday night.
Sergeant Stuart Poulton from Bendigo crime investigation unit said on Sunday it was important people secured their properties.
“You can never be too secure,” the police officer said.
A 20-year-old occupant of the house remained in hospital after he was tasered by a gang of up to six male intruders.
The man was assaulted while confronting the burglars, something Sergeant Poulton said was not advisable.
The uninvited men also wielded steel bars which they used to strike another occupant of the Laurie Street home.
He had since been released from hospital.
Sergeant Poulton said police were especially interested in hearing from those in Laurie Court, Harris Street and Truscott Avenue who might have information about the incident.
Those with information should phone Bendigo police station on 5448 1300 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
