The Redbacks’ win was only the second time they have beaten Dingee in their previous 18 encounters.
In what was its fourth loss in a row heading into the finals, Dingee compiled 6-166, led by 39 from opener Kyle Patten, while Jauvane Bannon bowled well for the Redbacks to snare 4-27
On the back of 59 from captain James Harney and 40 from Tyler Oliver, Elmore answered with 6-171 to end the season with a sixth victory.
• Bagshot also recorded an upset, defeating minor premier Raywood by 36 runs.
Marc Sherwell’s 70 helped set up Bagshot’s 8-181.
Raywood had been tracking well in its chase at 1-87, but was unable to capitalise, finishing at 9-145.
Bagshot veteran James Sexton (4-16) put the screws on Raywood, whose top score was Kale Hoggins’ 36.
• Heathcote tuned up for its return to the finals with a victory over Calivil.
Brenton Conforti’s 82 was the backbone of Heathcote’s 173, while Ash Smith (3-32) and Phil Brown (3-29) took three wickets each for Calivil, which was dismissed for 115.
After coming in at 1-26, Garner Smith (30 n.o.) batted through the rest of the innings for Calivil. Patrick Ring’s 3-17 were the best bowling figures for Heathcote.
• Goornong (8-177) proved far too strong for a depleted Colbinabbin (72).
The Walruses’ Jesse O’Connell (72) equalled the Ducks’ total on his own.
