LOCKED in a fight to hold fourth place on the premier league ladder, Bendigo Lawn Quest takes on the in-form Epsom in Friday night’s 17th round of the Bendigo Tennis Association season.

The BTA’s aces will be determined to be back on court after last Friday’s round was called off because of the heat.
Quest will hold home-court advantage in its battle with Epsom on courts one and two at the Bendigo Lawn Tennis Club in Barnard Street.
The tally from this season’s meetings between Quest and Epsom in the Quest Bendigo Central-backed pennant stands at one-all.
Quest won the first duel by eight games, but Epsom struck back to win the next battle by 16 games.
The 12th round was not played.
• Strathfieldsaye and South Bendigo will clash on courts three and four at BLTC.
They also have a one-all record in this season’s showdowns.
South Bendigo triumphed in round two by 22 games.
The contest in the seventh round ended in a 7-54 to 6-51 victory by Strathfieldsaye.
Friday’s matches on the grasscourts start at 5.15pm.
• Spring Gully Butterflies will start hot favourite to beat Bendigo Lawn Rising.
Both of their previous duels have ended in 18 and 31 game wins by a formidable Gully line-up.
Butterflies have home-court advantage when Friday’s match starts at 6pm at Spring Gully.
The ladder-leading Butterflies have a win-loss record of 9-4 and are on 76 points.
Epsom is next in the title race on 70 points ahead of South Bendigo, 66.
Quest and Strathfieldsaye are locked on 57 points, but the Lawn line-up has a five per cent buffer.
Rising has a 2-11 record.
Three rounds remain in the regular season.
