Bellarine was scheduled to play Sunraysia in an AFL Victoria Community Championships 17 v 18 match in May.
However, Sunraysia has withdrawn, leaving Bellarine without an opponent.
Loddon Valley – which pulled out of inter-league last season – was keen to get back involved this year, but wasn’t granted a match.
AFL Victoria’s Gerard Ryan said Loddon Valley wouldn’t be looked at as an option for Bellarine, which last year thumped the Heathcote District league by 80 points.
“Without being disparaging, it would be a fairly significant difference in competition (between Bellarine and Loddon Valley),” Ryan said.
