The Slow Walk coincides with the final day of the X-Borders group exhibition at Dudley House, which opens on February 23.
Sponsored by the LAI, Jinette de Gooijer, artist, socio-analyst and La Trobe University Alumnus, will lead her fellow artists and interested members of the community in the performance.
Engaging with issues of border crossings and asylum seeking, X-Borders – A Slow Walk encourages participants and viewers to consider what it is to experience dislocation of identity, home, place and relations with others.
There is no fee and registrations are open now via Eventarc:https://register.eventarc.com/36966/slow-walk-bendigo
