The incident was marked safe shortly before 10am.
EARLIER: A FIRE alarm has triggered the evacuation of dozens of shoppers and staff from a Bendigo shopping centre.
Three CFA trucks attended Bendigo Marketplace after receiving a call-out about 9.18am.
Customers and workers were forced to wait outside the entrances while firefighters inspected the building.
At 9.35am firefighters had not found anything that would have triggered the alarm, but were continuing to investigate.
