The country championships will be held in Sale from this Friday to Sunday.
The squad includes the likes of Grace Beckmans, Flynn Boyd, Tahneesha Butcher, Justyce Crossman, Arkie Donnelly, Jordy Martin, Alia Melgin-Hill, Lydia Melgin-Hill, Mitchell Sherlock, Jarrod Slot, Matthew Slot and Sebastian Wood, who are all expected to challenge for personal bests.
This year’s country championships follows the recent celebrations that marked the centenary of the formation of the Bendigo Swimming Club, which merged with Eaglehawk in 2011 to form the Bendigo Hawks.

“The upcoming Victorian Country Championships should not only aim to celebrate the dedication and commitment of countless swimmers, but also the timeless hours of devotion from club elders. Their contribution and devotion to regional sport is in short invaluable,” the club says.
As well as 65 individual entrants, the Bendigo Hawks also have relay teams competing at the championships, which were last year held at the Bendigo Aquatic Centre.
The Bendigo Hawks are coached by James Sherlock.
