First a Daniel Cruickshank (123 retired hurt) century set up the Power’s 4-245 off their 45 overs.
But what then followed was a meek response with the bat from Golden Square, which inside 22 overs was all out for just 42 on its home deck at MyJet Oval.
At one stage Golden Square lost 5-0, falling from 4-36 to 9-36 in what was a demolition by the Power bowlers.
The Power only needed four bowlers to skittle Square – Peter Moore (4-15), Mitchell Whittle (3-9), Matt Rule (2-2) and Cameron Moore (1-12).
Golden Square’s total of 42 – which included five ducks – was the seventh lowest in the BDCA since 2000.
