The winning squad, coached by Bendigo’s Mitch Winter-Irving and assisted by Lisa Cain, featured Letesha Bawden (White Hills), Jasmine Nevins (Kangaroo Flat), Mackenzee Porter (Strathdale), Dakota Rasmussen (Golden Square), Holly Ryan (Bendigo) and Breanna Saffron (White Hills).
Northern Rivers made 4-137 off its 25 overs and won in a rain-affected match as South East Bayside finished 4-79 off 13 overs.
Nevins (41 n.o. and 1-5) was the player of the match.
Meanwhile, the under-18 male team was undefeated after its four games, but that wasn’t enough to advance to the semi-finals.
