FRESH from his quadruple gold-medal effort at the world-ranked Asia Pacific Cup in Japan, Justin Thompson is eyeing new honours closer to home.
The Bendigo darts sensation will be one of the forces to be reckoned with when the Victorian Open Teams Championship starts on Friday at the All Seasons Bendigo.
It's the third consecutive year the venue has hosted te tournament.
More than 300 competitors are expected to participate in the three-day tournament.

He won gold medals in the singles, doubles and teams' events, adding a fourth as a member of the overall Australian team.
His World Darts Federation Asia Pacific Region singles championship trophy will be on display throughout the Open.
The tournament will feature Australian and state representatives going head-to-head against the best Victoria has to offer.
Darts Australia President Kelvin James said the organisation was delighted to once again partner with the City of Greater Bendigo and the All Seasons Hotel to bring the prestigious event to Bendigo.
"This tournament is the largest teams event in Victoria and continues to grow each year,” he said.
