The works will aim at relieving traffic congestion in Bendigo’s CBD area.
“The works involve increasing the capacity of some turning lanes to help improve traffic flow around this busy intersection,” VicRoads regional director Mal Kersting said.
“We plan to start works on January 15, and weather permitting, expect them to take between three to five weeks to complete.
To complete the roadworks as quickly and as safely as possible, most of the work will be done between 7pm and 4am.
Mr Kersting urged motorists to allow extra travel time while the works are being completed.
“We appreciate these important road works may cause some inconvenience for motorists, but we ask for your patience while they are underway,” he said.
“If you’re travelling through this area please observe the changed traffic conditions, including work zone speed limits.”
