The second annual Bendigo Kids’ Christmas Concert, an initiative of the Hindsight Club, raised cash for the Bendigo Health Foundation Christmas appeal, especially the hospital’s child services.
Production manager and co-writer Alicia Barker said the cast of 25 had rehearsed since October to perfect their merry moves for the one-show-only engagement.
She was excited to give back to the community that supported Bendigo Theatre Company productions throughout 2016.
“It’s so special for us because we get to do what we love and help others at the same time,” Ms Barker said.
Tickets for the event were just $10 for children, which Hindsight Club co-founder Brendan Baker said made it an affordable experience for families burdened with Christmas expenses.
“It can be a difficult time of year for some people,” he said.
