AFL Central Victoria in conjunction with La Trobe University Bendigo will hold a coaches conference on Sunday, November 20, from 10am to 3.30pm.
The conference will feature Carlton assistant coaches Dale Amos and Tim Clarke, as well as Michelle den Dekker and Eloise Southby for the netball.
Practical sessions for both football and netball will be held concurrently.
“Carlton has been a fantastic support to the AFL Central Victoria coaches association this year,” AFLCV football development manager Rick Coburn said.
“All coaches are strongly encouraged to attend our session. Dale Amos and Tim Clarke, both Carlton assistants, will present.
“With insights from coaches currently at the highest level of our great game, it’s a day not to be missed.”
den Dekker was the defence coach of the gold medal-winning Australian Diamonds at the 2014 Glasglow Commonwealth Games and 2015 World Cup.
Southby is a shooting coach with the Melbourne Vixens and is a Commonwealth Games gold medallist.
“Bringing highly-credentialed presenters to our region provides the opportunity for more coaches to access quality professional development,” BFNL manager Carol Cathcart said.
The conference will be held at La Trobe University Bendigo at a cost of $50, which includes lunch.
