Senator’s support for gun culture obscene
Senator David Leyonhjelm claims that former prime minister John Howard's decision to pass the National Firearms Agreement – which included a gun buyback and restricted ownership of automatic and semi-automatic weapons – following the Port Arthur massacre was emotional and not evidence-based.

Here is some evidence: 35 people were killed at Port Arthur. The senator's promotion of gun culture is obscene.

Important information at drug support forum
Many thanks to the Bendigo council for sponsoring the Family Drug Support program held in Kangaroo Flat on Saturday.
Such a shame that so few attended this very informative and worthwhile day.
Thank you also to Michael Miller for his excellent presentation and ongoing work with FDS and for his support for local families.

Coalition government is already on the nose
So we have the long awaited shootout at Capital Hill, involving two of the closest friends in parliament, Malcolm Turnbull and Tony Abbott, not over same sex marriage, but open warfare over who said what about the relaxing or otherwise of the firearm laws in question.
The closest most people get to a firearm and its contents is if you get the bullet from work.
That aside, the phony friendship between Turnbull and Abbott has finally been blown to smithereens.
Regardless of what Sturt MP Christopher Pyne says, who by his comments really must think that most Aussies are brain dead or, alternatively, delights in treating them as idiots in his attempt to convince the public that all is well.
In fact, his explanation was so ridiculous, most would question if he has any common sense at all, as you can only talk so much rubbish before the public form their own opinion of your own intelligence levels, and your right to represent anybody seriously, and be paid $350,000 for it.
It is very clear that this parliament is a total shambles – the same as it has been for the past three years, and shows no signs of improving.
So the deficit increases by the day, the budget is shot and the only thing that is at the forefront of the political thinking is the ongoing power struggle between the right wing and the moderates of the Liberal Party.
And this mob reckoned the last parliament was bad. Well, at least they got 350 pieces of legislation through the joint. You could count theirs on one hand, and not only that, we have a Senate which is more dysfunctional than the last one.
Goodness knows what the younger generation think of the supposed “intelligent leaders of our country" because you need one hell of a sense of humour to put up with this lot.

Time for some action on Julian Assange
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.
Free Julian Assange.

How did it come to this for disability provider?
What I don't quite understand is how can an organisation that employed a chief executive officer, a human resources person, a mini bus full of managers, another two managers at the day service and a board that consisted of Bendigo’s so-called professionals and yet Radius is in this position?
