Azzopardi’s day will start by rugging up exciting youngster Raw Ability for his partner Kylie Osbourne.
Raw Ability debuted last week amidst rumours of him having above average ability and those rumours were confirmed when he carved out sizzling sections en route to a 14-length victory in a flying 23.57.
Despite drawing awkwardly in box six the aptly named Raw Ability has plenty on his rivals and he only needs a clean getaway to make it two from two to start his career.
Azzopardi’s next runner is Zambora Cross, who will carry the red rug in race eight.
A winner of five from 11 to date, Zambora Cross has terrific early speed and from the 500m start he should find the front with ease and prove too slick for his opposition.
Twenty minutes later another of the Myrniong kennel’s charges will exit box one as a short priced favourite.
Sudoku Bullet will be having his first start for the new kennel after scoring twice and being placed once in just three NSW appearances.
Having registered smart times at Grafton and Albion Park in those wins, and drawing the inside alley, Sudoku Bullet is the one to beat in the ninth event.
Looking for a runner to follow that is not in the care of Anthony Azzopardi and promising sprinter After Life is that that dog.
After finding trouble at his first three outings After Life has won his past three on end, all from the front and all in smart times.
With box manners improved and the ability to run slick sections After Life will take some catching in race eleven.
