The forum lecture, which is open to the public, is a free event.
Keating will discuss his multidisciplinary practice, his latest body of work that was exhibited at the Visual Arts Centre in July, and connect this to a diverse number of visual art projects dating back to 2006. Keating has exhibited widely in galleries across Australia. He has undertaken several site specific projects both nationally and internationally.
Keating’s practice embraces video, performance, public art and studio practice, extending the tradition of abstract expressionism to reflect on our relationships with nature and our environments, straying into both the political and the philosophical through the simple application (and removal) of paint.
