A gallant Lady Braves, playing without their skipper Kelly Wilson, led Brisbane Spartans by eight points at half time, but were unable to stop the home side from running out victorious 68-58.
Spartans captain Aja Parham inflicted most damage, finishing with 24 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
She was well supported by Janelle Adams (20 points, seven rebounds) and Bendigo Spirit recruit Ashleigh Karaitiana, who had 14 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
Chante Black, who will play for Melbourne Boomers during the 2016-17 WNBL season, led the Lady Braves with 21 points, 11 rebounds and two blocked shots.
Keely Froling capped a tremendous season with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while guards Charlie Brancatisano and Jane Chalmers chimed in with eight and seven points apiece.
