Senior Constable Stewart Probst confirmed no one was injured in the fire.
“Early investigations suggest it was started by a dryer,” he said.
“The occupant had gone to pick the kids up and left the dryer running. That’s where we are guessing it started.”
Senior Constable Probst said there was nothing left of the house.
“It is a weatherboard house that has gone up quite quickly. It was well alight when CFA arrived,” he said.
“The main thing is that no one was injured. It is also a timely reminder for people to check their electrical appliances.”
The fire is still burning, CFA remain on scene.
