The Roos’ 21.9 (135) to 8.8 (56) win all but guaranteed them second spot and the double chance for the finals.
Mitch Rovers and Xavier Salm were superb for the Roos, while Brodie Fry kicked seven goals. Mitch Good win continued his great form for the Bloods and Will Allen kicked four goals.
Top team Sandhurst Marist Dockers defeated Golden Square by 17 points.
James Vlaeminck kicked four goals and Sean O’Farrell was best afield in the 7.8 (50) to 4.9 (33) win. Jack Chester and Tully Scanlon were Golden Square’s best players.
After a tight first half, Strath Storm ran away from Kyneton to win by 44 points.
The Storm won 11.18 (84) to 6.4 (40), with Tyson Webster and Will Wallace impressive. Ned and James O’Sullivan battled hard for the Tigers.
The highlight of the under-14 senior division was South Bendigo’s upset win over White Hills.
The Bloods won 9.10 (64) to 6.10 (64) thanks largely to some great footy from Isaac Carracher, Jackson Hufer and Kyle Simpkins. Jordan Bonanno and Fletcher Pearce were best for White Hills.
Strathfieldsaye scored a 34-point win over Kyneton. George Simpson and Mitch Hogan were dominant for the Storm, while Ben Xiriha and Liam Muir had plenty of the ball for the Tigers.
Connor O’Farrell and Joel Bothe led the way for Sandhurst in the Dragons’ 12.16 (88) to 2.4 (16) win against Eaglehawk. Jordan Hynes and Caeleb Jacobs battled hard for the Hawks.
Zavier Murley bagged 11 goals for Golden Square as the flag favourite defeated Kangaroo Flat 24.20 (164) to 0.1 (1). Ricky Monti and Brock Passalaqua also played well for the Dogs. Ryan O’Keefe and Lachlan Balcke were the Roos’ best.
Kyneton and St Therese’s remain the teams to beat in the under-12A division.
The top-of-the-table Tigers kept third-placed Golden Square in the goalless in their 4.5 (29) to 0.1 (1) win.
Charlie May and Owen Fletcher were best for the Tigers and Tom Dillon and Elijah Brook tried hard for the Dogs.
St Therese’s defeated Eaglehawk 6.6 (42) to 4.4 (28). Hugh Morris and Toby Howlett racked up plenty of the ball for St Therese’s, while Jacob Manning and Izak O’Sullivanwere named the Borough’s best.
There were two thrilling finishes in the youth girls division.
North Bendigo defeated South Bendigo 6.5 (41) to 5.7 (37) and Castlemaine outlasted Kangaroo Flat 5.7 (37) to 5.2 (32).
Shemain Porai and Brookyln Parkes were North Bendigo’s best players, while Melissa Taig and Eva Irwin took the honours for the Bloods.
Taylah Sartori and Tiahna Cochrane led Castlemaine to victory. Shelby Knoll and Tia Needs were best for the Roos.
Kyneton and Woorinen scored comfortable wins over Huntly and Strathfieldsaye.
