The winners, who wish to remain anonymous, bought their 50-game QuickPick entry from Epsom Lotto and Gifts. Their good fortune was also cause for celebration for Epsom Lotto and Gifts owner Chris Trowell. “We’re rapt to have now chalked up our third division one winning entry in less than two and a half years,” he said.
The Maldon Newsagency also sold a winning ticket in Saturday night’s draw. Newsagency owners Barbara and Graeme Ford could not be happier for the local customer. “We get tears in our eyes knowing how life-changing a $1.3 million win could be for our customer,” Mrs Ford said. “It’s lovely news and it will give the whole town a lift."
