J.J. Clancy Reserve - the home of the Kilmore Football Netball Club - had a similar netball facilities issue to the QEO.
Kilmore FNC president Dave Milne said the club and Mitchell Shire had a netball change room facility installed at the venue mid-season in 2013 at a price of “about $250,000”.
The facility included home team and away team changing rooms, showers, toilets and disabled toilet.
“It made life a lot easier for everyone,’’ Milne said. “The netballers, female footballers and our under-10 footballers all use it.”
Fleetwood Bendigo built the change rooms using modular buildings.
“The rooms are built to AFL standard,’’ Fleetwood Bendigo manager Keiran Nihill said. “Planning and permits aside, the actual building process only takes three to four weeks. They are built on our site and then installation only takes one day.”
