The department suspended the Pastoria East landholder’s Authority to Control Wildlife while it conducted an investigation into the recent killing of kangaroos, but in a statement said it found “insufficient evidence and no legal basis to prosecute” the landholder.
But the reinstated permit has additional conditions attached to it, including that the landholder engage a professional shooter to undertake control activities.
The landholder must also give DELWP 48 hours’ notice before shootings start and must provide documentation afterwards.
