About 150 players will travel to Bendigo for the championships, which will feature teams from Dandenong, Diamond Valley, Ringwood, Geelong, Latrobe Valley and Sunraysia, as well as local sides from the Bendigo Baseball Association.
“Baseball Victoria is excited to be holding the Under-12 State Winter Championships in Bendigo for another year, and we are looking forward to working with the Bendigo Baseball Association to once again make the event a huge success,” Baseball Victoria general manager Ashley Blair said on Wednesday.
“The championships are an important event on our calendar and an extremely significant program in the development pathway, both within the Victorian and Australian junior landscape.”
Day one on Saturday will begin at 8.45am and feature 12 games, concluding at 5.15pm.
Sunday’s day two program will include nine games starting at 9am, with the championships to end with a closing ceremony at 3.30pm.
“Greater Bendigo has great sporting facilities and we welcome events like this and hope all participants, officials and their families take full advantage of everything the City has to offer,” City of Greater Bendigo mayor Rod Fyffe said.
