Bendigo voters flocked to the polls early this year with nearly one in every three voters casting their ballots before election day.
Of the 109,615 registered voters, 30 per cent opted either for a postage vote or to pre-poll.
Pre-poll rates were 50 per cent higher than in the 2013 election – up from 16,498 to 24,851.
The number of registered voters in the division of Bendigo rose from 102,928 in 2013 to 109,615 in 2016 – an increase of 6.5 per cent.
