I would like to see ongoing investment in the electorate’s infrastructure with projects that will accommodate the Bendigo and regional surrounds of the future.
I would advocate strongly for better river management systems to enable water to be retained in Lake Eppalock for longer periods of time that would not effect the entitlement holders to restore the tourism and associated industries to their former glory. These investments and outcomes will create jobs, create confidence and with that boost our local economies.
I have a vision for our electorate being truly globally connected. We have world-class facilities such as our amazing hospitals, universities and manufacturing industries complemented by our region’s ability to produce the amazing foods and wines we all enjoy.
I see such projects as the Murray Darling Medical School and ongoing infrastructure upgrades to our airport as key projects to assist in opening up the access required for our electorate to truly become globally connected. I see an amazing future for our small businesses to flourish and grow. I see an opportunity to bring our youth unemployment down and enact plans to battle drug addiction and domestic violence with investment into education and prevention programs.
In the future I see the Bendigo electorate as being looked to as the model that all electorates wish to emulate and follow. This is the vision that I have for our great electorate.
