The Dragons won 37.18 (240) to 7.4 (46), with 33 of the 37 goals kicked by midfielders or small forwards.
Nick Stagg bagged a career-high seven goals, Lee Coghlan added six, Kristan Height five and Adam Parry five in a dominant Dragon performance.
“Maryborough played some good footy in the second quarter,’’ Sandhurst coach Wayne Primmer said.
“(Coach) Shane (Skontra) has got them trying hard. We jumped them early which was important for us and we got through the game well.”
Maryborough skipper Matt Johnston battled hard for his side and kicked four of their seven goals. Jac Matthews and James Macer also impressed for the Pies.
Meanwhile, Sandhurst full-forward Matt Gray kicked 20 goals in the reserves match.
Gray’s 20-goal haul was the highlight of the 40.11 (251) to 0.0 (0) scoreline.
