Two people have been arrested following an incident in White Hills this afternoon.
About 2.20pm police found a male, 22, and a female, 21, in possession of a stolen motor vehicle in Hamelin Street, Acting Inspector Troy Hargadon said.
“They've attempted arrest of the said male and female and a scuffle has ensued,” he said.
“As a result of that scuffle OC foam and a CED Taser device has been activated.”
The pair were assisting police with their inquiries.
Acting Inspector Hargadon said there were no significant injuries.
"Some minor injuries to the members involved but nothing of any significance,” he said.
“It's unfortunate, but unfortunately it's also part of our duty to try to detect and apprehend these offenders and unfortunately sometimes a scenario plays out in such a way,” he said.
Two Ambulance Victoria units and at least eight police cars were on scene.
Hamelin Street was blocked during the incident.
“The incident has been resolved as peacefully as we possibly can,” Acting Inspector Hargadon said.
