3BO breakfast show host Bryan “Cogho” Coghlan said the list had grown quickly.
“In the last 48 hours it has gone ballistic, people are getting on board big time,” he said.
The Hibernian, Wine Bank on View, Huntly Pub, Boris Murgers, Bendigo Greyhound Club, Heathcote on Show, Balgownie Estate Winery, Bendigo Winegrowers, Castlemaine Central Wine Store, Kangaroo Flat Hotel, Handle Bar Bendigo, The Axedale Tavern, Hashtag Public Bar and South Castlemaine Kindergarten have all come on board in support.
Boris Murgers owner Paul Morris said while his business didn’t serve cheese platters, he was happy to pay extra for his milk and change to Kerang supplier Jonesy’s Dairy Fresh.
“We try and keep as much of our product as we can from the region,” he said.
“Everyone has hard times and we want to help local people out.
“So we thought we could help be doing half price milkshakes from Monday to Thursday using Jonsey’s milk, which we are happy to pay full price for.”
