Cassie Davies described Mr Foggin as “very family-orientated” and said he was looking forward to a new chapter of his life in Queensland with her and his two grandchildren when he disappeared.
“If anybody does know anything I’d hope they’d come forward, any information helps,” she said.
The 28-year-old said it was extremely unusual for her father to be out of contact for so long.
“Day three was a big trigger, and then five, seven was really worrying, that’s when I was pretty sure something serious was up,” she said.
“It was out of character, I sort of wish I didn't wait so long [to contact police].”
Ms Davies said she had spoken to her father on the morning he was last sighted on September 24, about “normal everyday stuff”.
“About him trying to head back to Queensland, he was hoping to leave that day or the next,” she said.
She reported him missing on October 1.
Detective Inspector Steve Dennis said the past few months had been an “incredibly difficult” time for Mr Foggin’s family.
“As any person who’s missing who has loved ones it’s incredibly difficult for the family to have to go through this,” he said.
“He’s a grandfather with two grandchildren and it’s a very difficult situation for any family in this situation.”
EARLIER: Missing Persons Squad detectives are today setting up an information caravan as the investigation into the disappearance of 47-year-old Keith Foggin continues.
The Toolleen man was reported missing on October 1 after his daughter had not heard from him in more than a week.
Keith normally maintains regular phone contact with his daughter and two grandchildren who reside in Queensland, but he has not contacted them since about 8am on September 24.
He had been expected to travel from Victoria to Queensland.
The information caravan will be set up on Grant Street between Main Street and Millbank Street in Bacchus Marsh from 8.30am.
A mannequin wearing similar clothing to that worn by Keith when he was last seen will also be displayed for the public in the hope someone can provide information about his whereabouts.
It is believed Keith was last seen wearing grey/black Hurley tracksuit pants, a black Jim Beam – “Blokes Dilemma” t-shirt and a light grey hooded zip up jacket with the word “Extreme” written diagonally across it.
Investigators do not believe he was wearing any shoes.
Detectives have established that Keith was last seen at a mechanics workshop on Millbank Street in Bacchus Marsh at about 10.30am on Thursday September 24.
Keith has not used his phone or accessed his bank accounts since he was last seen.
A grey Ford XD station wagon previously sought by police is no longer of interest.
Keith is described as Caucasian, 170 centimetres tall and of medium build, with short dark hair, a grey beard and hazel eyes.
Anyone with information in relation to his disappearance is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report to www.crimestoppersvic.vic.gov.au
