Thwaites, a former Pulse player, shot an amazing 94 per-cent for the night in a 79-41 win in Sydney on Sunday night.
She missed just three of her 53 attempts for the match.
Thwaites surpassed her previous personal best shooting performance of 47 goals.
The win consolidated the 5-1 Swifts' position in second spot on the ANZ Championship ladder behind the reignig premiers Queensland Firebirds, who are undefeated after six games.
It was a day of records for Swifts, who recorded their biggest score and largest winning margin.
I think it was important to make a statement," Swifts coach Rob Wright said in reference to the previous week's disappointing loss to the Firebirds.
"I think everyone across the court was disappointed with the effort (last week). Our performance wasn't what we were expecting, but credit to Firebirds."
"I think it was important to bounce back this week and probably got back to showing the sort of netball we're trying to play, week in week out."
Thwaites is currently third on the leading goal shooters list with 216 from 242 attempts, at 89.3 accuracy.
Southern Steel's Jhaniele Fowler-Reid leads the league with 302 goals from 340 attempts at 88.8 per cent.
Meanwhile, Chloe Watson's Melbourne Vixens are scheduled to meet New Zealand team Mainland Tactix in Christchurch today at 6pm (EST).
The Vixens enter the round six contest with a 2-2 win-loss record. Tactix have two wins, two losses and a draw and are currently second in the New Zealand conference.
